Exeter Exiles meet the Trust

Chance to mingle and meet the Supporters’ Trust in London

The evening of Wednesday 24th July sees the second ‘Meet the…’ function for the Exiles, with the Trust following on the heels of the Exeter City chief executive Julian Tagg, who came to talk to the Exiles.

The event details are as follows:
Event – Exeter Exiles meet the Trust
When – Wednesday July 24th @ 6.30pm onwards
Where – Hoop and Grape, 80 Farringdon Street, London, EC4A 4BL

Nearest tubes are Blackfriars (0.3 miles), Chancery Lane (0.3 miles), and Farringdon (0.4 miles).  Nearest rail stations are City Thameslink (0.1 miles), Blackfriars (0.3 miles), and Farringdon (0.4 miles).

It is your chance to Have Your Say.  A no-holds barred Q&A with the Trust Chair and Club Board Member, Laurence Overend; Trust BoS and Club Board member plus Club Board Secretary, Roger Conway; and Trust Secretary, Nick Hawker.

We’ve all talked about openness, accountability and communications as a supporter-owned club and this is your chance to get to the very heart of how the Trust fits into it.

We would like as many Exiles as possible to turn out the evening to make the efforts of the organisers and the three Trust representatives worth it plus of course we need to ensure the pub is rewarded with sales for providing the venue free of charge.

As with the first event no subject is off limits from how the BoS makes decisions to what happens to your money; plus exactly what the different roles are. It is also your chance to feed back in thoughts you have to ensure your Trust BoS is representing ‘you’ and your thoughts.

This is an event for all Exiles so, if you can’t make, it email us your question and we will try and get it answered and send it back to you.  However apart from that we will not be taking minutes of the meeting so attending is the only way to hear what is said.

Our aim is to have a formal Q&A followed by a more informal mingle and, whilst we would want to keep to some sort of order we want the discussion to wend its own merry way.

So, if you are not on the list below and you are thinking of coming let Neil Le Milliere know now so he can advise the venue of approximate numbers, and – as last time – pasties will be provided for those who let Neil know in advance (if you are vegetarian please let him know too).

Already attending are: Neil, Julie, Adrian A, Dave P, Gary A, Geoff, Giles B, Ian L, Jamie N,  Jim, John B, Mark E, Matt H, Nick P, Oli, Roger P, Steve H, Steve R, and Tim H.

Exiles sign-up evening

We are pleased to announce that this season’s membership cards have arrived and we will be collecting the subscriptions of those who attend the above event and handing out the  cards which as usual have the fixtures on the back of them – unfortunately without the latest changes on them –so a handy wallet sized ECFC calendar for you.

We also have a decent supply of badges from previous seasons which I am sure you can persuade Ian, the membership secretary, to part with if you have lost yours or have not got one in the first place.

The fee will remain as it has been for quite a few years now – just £10.  And of course Exiles membership counts towards your Gold priority membership status.

For those not attending the meeting, arrangements for signing up will be published afterwards.
