Neil’s interview with Football League

Fan of the Year Neil talks to the Football League website

The Football League’s 2013 npower Fan of the Year – Exeter City’s very own Neil Le Milliere – has been profiled on the Football League website.

Neil is a Co-opted Trustee in the Exeter City’s Supporters’ Trust.  Amongst many of the roles he fulfils voluntarily for the club, he mans a bottle bar at St James Park at home games, as well as organising travel for the Exeter Exiles, who follow the Grecians home and away from their base in London.  He also arranged the annual trip for Exiles and other City fans to visit the Greek island of Andros – who depart for the sunshine on Wednesday evening – where they will play some football and do a lot of socialising.

The time and effort that Neil contributes was recognised by the Football League at their annual awards ceremony, which took place this year at The Brewery in London.  As Neil himself said, summing up the ethos of a Trust-owned club: “My reward for doing what I do is the fact that other people have a great time and that the club gets support.”
