Midfielder signs contract to remain at St James Park
Exeter City are delighted to announce that Jimmy Keohane has penned a contract extension to remain at St James Park.
The Irish midfielder, 23, first joined the club in 2011 after leaving Bristol City. He has featured 61 times to date in Exeter colours for the first team, and has found the net on six occasions.
He was a regular in the Grecians’ phenomenal Under-21 Premier League Cup campaign last season, and scored in the fixtures against Southampton, Blackburn Rovers and Burnley.
Jimmy finished the season in hot goalscoring form for the senior squad too, by sealing a 2-0 win and the Grecians’ survival in the Football League against league leaders Scunthorpe at St James Park and then opening the scoring away at Hartlepool on the final day with a cracking strike from distance.
The embargo on the club does not affect contract renewals of current players. Talks are still ongoing on contract renewals with James Hamon, Arron Davies and Matt Oakley.
