Midfielder commits to the Grecians
Exeter City are pleased to announce that midfielder Matt Oakley has agreed a new contract with the club to remain at St James Park for the forthcoming season.
The experienced campaigner, who turns 37 in the second week of the season, first moved to Exeter City in 2011 as a Leicester loanee and has since made 68 appearances for the Grecians.
Matt was sidelined for over four months last season after sustaining an ankle injury in the early-season Devon Derby against Plymouth Argyle, but he returned in February to play an important role in the Grecians’ end to the campaign.
Former Southampton, Leicester and Derby man Oakley will begin his fourth full season in Exeter City colours when the 2014/15 season kicks off against Portsmouth at St James Park on Saturday 9th August.
