Gulls coming to the Park before season opener
Exeter City will be hosting neighbours Torquay United in a pre-season friendly fixture on Saturday 2nd August (kick-off 3pm).
The game looks set to be the Grecians’ final pre-season fixture – the curtain will be raised on the 2014/15 campaign a week later, on Saturday 9th August.
Torquay, who were relegated to the Conference as the Football League’s bottom club last season, also visited two years ago for a friendly ahead of the 2012/13 campaign. On that occasion, the supporters in attendance were treated to a goal-fest as the referee blew time with the score at 3-3.
It is the third friendly that has been announced for St James Park this pre-season, following the announcement of the visit of Reading on Tuesday 15th July (kick-off 7.30pm) and Swansea City on Tuesday 29th July (7.15pm kick-off). Information about admission prices will follow soon.
