Get your copy of historical work on the Grecians
There will be a great opportunity this Saturday to get a signed copy of Aidan Hamilton's new book ‘Have You Ever Played Brazil?’The book, published by the Supporters’ Trust, covers the early history of Exeter City and their tour of South America in 1914 including the historic game when they became Brazil's first ever opponents. It also details the impact of the First World War on the club and its players.
Aidan Hamilton will be holding two signing sessions on Saturday 13 September:
*11.30am-12.30pm at McGaheys, 245 High Street, Exeter
(Martin McGahey has written the foreword to the book; it was his great grandfather, Michael McGahey who led the 1914 tour as Chairman of the club)
*1.30pm-2.30pm at the Supporters Trust stall at St James Park Stadium before Exeter City's home game with Oxford United.
The 132-page lavishly illustrated book costs £20 and would make an ideal birthday or Christmas present for anyone interested in local history, military history and of course the history of Exeter City FC.
The book will also be on general sale during opening hours from McGaheys and from the Exeter City Club Shop at St James Park.
