Join the FUGBY12 men’s walk for Hospiscare!

Walk 12 kilometres and raise cash for local charity

Football and rugby fans in Exeter are being urged to join an exciting new men’s walk in aid of Hospiscare – the FUGBY12.

You can join the 12km sponsored walk, which starts and ends here at St James Park, and relax afterwards with a free pint and a pasty to watch the Six Nations rugby or some Premier League action.

The FUGBY12 is the new name for the Hospiscare Men’s Walk and for the first time it will be starting and finishing from Exeter City’s St James Park on Saturday March 21st.  Exeter City is proud to be supporting this event.

This event mixes the sports of rugby and football and offers a new countryside route for walkers, who on returning to the stadium will receive a free beer and a pasty to enjoy whilst watching England v France in the Six Nations on big screens.  And if football is more your thing, you can keep up to date with all the footie news in the Sports Hub.  Local estate agent Wilkinson Grant is sponsoring the walk.

The FUGBY12 will raise vital funds to support Hospsicare, the local charity which provides end of life care for 2,000 patients and their families in Exeter, East and Mid Devon.

Entry is just £15, which includes a t-shirt (as modelled by Tom Nichols and Danny Butterfield), as well as a pint and a pasty after the walk.  Early bird offer £10 ends on January 31st.  Full details are available on www.fugby12.co.uk.
