Matt Grimes’ Exeter City career – in pictures

Photo feature on Matt Grimes

Matt Grimes completed a move to Swansea City earlier today, and we revisit some of his moments in an Exeter shirt in photographic form.

Exminster-born Grimes joined the Academy at the Cat & Fiddle at the age of 10, working his way through the age-groups before graduating to the first-team in the summer of 2013.  His first appearance at the Park after turning pro came as a late sub against Queens Park Rangers.

During 18 months as a professional, Grimes featured 62 times in the first team and scored five goals, as well as featuring in the club’s Under-21 Premier League Cup campaign last term and featuring three times for England’s Under-20 squad.

These 20 photos capture just a small portion of Matt’s career to date.  We wish Matt all the best at the Liberty Stadium and in his future career.
