Defender has surgery on fractured foot
Jordan Moore-Taylor underwent surgery yesterday after fracturing a metatarsal in his right foot. The 21-year-old defender missed the beginning of last season with the same injury, which he picked up in pre-season against Tupi in Brazil. After returning to action, the bone was again broken against in October during a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy fixture at Coventry City.
However his operation yesterday went well and will allow the bone to recover to full strength. In the meantime Jordan’s foot will be immobilised for six weeks, after which the rehabilitation process will begin. It is too soon at this stage to estimate a precise return date for the defender but he will be unavailable during the opening weeks of the season.
Everyone at the club wishes Jordan well for his recovery period, and we look forward to seeing him back in a City shirt again as soon as possible.
