Local band playing at St James Park
Exeter City Football Club are hosting Velvet Touch – one of Exeter’s best-known bands during the 1960s and 1970s – for a gig at St James Park on Saturday 25th July 2015, starting at 7.30pm.The band, which was first formed in 1967, supported the likes of The Kinks, The Who, Tina Turner and the Bee Gees amongst many others during that era.
Velvet Touch comprises Neil Govier on bass and vocals, Paul Walters on guitar and vocals, Pat Young on keyboard and backing vocals, Bob Dennis on the saxophone and Dave Denning on the drums – five of the original six members.
And we’re pleased to welcome the band back to St James Park for this event, which takes place in the Centre Spot bar.
