Forward not offered contract at present
Frontman Clinton Morrison has not been named on the retain list by Exeter City following the expiry of his contract at the end of the 2014/15 campaign. However manager Paul Tisdale insists that the door is by no means closed on the former Birmingham and Crystal Palace forward, and that the situation may be reassessed by the club later in the summer.
Morrison joined the Grecians on non-contract terms in November, before signing until the end of the season in the January transfer window. He went on to feature 25 times in Exeter City colours.
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale said: “There may be some movement later in the off-season regarding some of the squad players, so I’m not closing the door to a possible return for Clinton once the team begins to take shape.
“Clinton has been a real source of energy for the squad during his time with us and a really vibrant character to work with day-to-day around the training ground. He has been a real breath of fresh air for the club.
“He is another player that has benefited from his time at Exeter, and mutually we have certainly benefited from his connection with us – I have thoroughly enjoyed working with him.
“Although at this stage I can’t commit to him at the moment, the door is not completely shut for the future should circumstances be suitable later in the summer.”
