It is not long until Exeter City's home match with Plymouth Argyle at 1pm on Saturday, September 17. There have been plenty Devon derby moments to remember in recent years and, as we count down the days to another great game at St James Park, we are going recap 10 of the best.

City fans will no doubt be aware that Liam Sercombe loves to find the back of the net against Plymouth Argyle, having scored twice against the Green Army during his time at St James Park and once since his move to Oxford.

However, his goal at Home Park on March 25, 2014, was certainly one to remember. It came at a crucial time with City trying to work their way back into the match having fallen behind to a first-half penalty from Reuben Reid.

The ball fell to Liam on the edge of the area and he twisted his body to hit a volley goalwards that looped over Jake Cole’s head to send the Grecians fans behind the goal into raptures.

However, there was a worried look on Liam’s face when he was celebrating as his shot had taken a deflection on its way into the back off the net – off Tom Nichols’ nose.

The picture tells the story as Tom has joke with his City teammate by claiming that the goal is his. Who nose, he might have a case.
