Injury update: Troy Brown facing spell on the sidelines following Colchester United match

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has confirmed that Troy Brown is facing a spell on the sidelines after aggravating a hip-flexor injury in Saturday's 3-2 win over Colchester United.

Troy came on for the last 15 minutes of the match, despite failing a fitness test prior to kick-off, as the team were short of numbers in defence with Troy Archibald-Henville, Tom McCready, Craig Woodman all out injured.

"There's every chance we've aggravated Troy's hip-flexor injury, so that's a question mark," he said. "He's not going to be fit for a while and we've got no long-term indications yet on his return time."

Lee Holmes, Craig Woodman, David Wheeler and Tom McCready are all closing in on a return, but this Saturday's match at Gresty Road is a week too early.

"It's probably a game too soon for Lee Holmes, Craig Woodman, David Wheeler and Tom McCready," said Tis. "They're all definitely going to be another week at least.
"Troy Archibald-Henville will be two or three weeks, so I don't see any of those players who missed Colchester returning in time for this Saturday."
