Young Grecian in Chris Coleman's 26-man squad
Exeter City’s Ethan Ampadu called up for Wales’ World Cup Qualifier against Serbia.
Sixteen-year-old, Ethan has been included in the Wales 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying match on June 11.
Ethan has featured for his country at under-19, under-17 and under-16 level where he captained a very successful side. He is one of seven uncapped first team players to be called up for the fixture having only made his professional debut in August last year.
Ethan trained with the Wales squad prior to their successful Euro 2016 campaign and was named Wales’ young player of the year in November.
The son of former Exeter and Arsenal midfielder Kwame Ampadu has had a successful season at Exeter.
He made 13 appearances in all competitions this season after becoming the club’s youngest ever player to make a competitive first team appearance aged 15, 10 months and 26 days. This was against Brentford in the EFL Cup and broke a club record that was held for 83 years by club legend Cliff Bastin.
