Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale says he is undecided if he will name the same starting XI for the fourth game running against Barnet on Tuesday night.
The Grecians sit top of the League Two table having won five and drawn one of their opening six matches. The last three games – Newport County, Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers – has seen Tis choose the same starting line-up.
However, with the Barnet game coming around so quickly, after Saturday’s 3-1 victory at the New Lawn, is that something he is able to do again?
“I will have to wait and see,” he said. “We have got the game on Tuesday and we will have to see where we are on Monday. That is what we do every week we have to make those decisions and ultimately I will decide if we stick with the same team.”
Liam McAlinden came off injured in the match at Forest Green Rovers, so is he a doubt for Tuesday night’s match at the Hive.
“He was actually about to come off anyway, we had Jayden (Stockley) ready to come on,” said Tis. “I think he clashed knees. It is a bit like the funny-bone in your elbow or I am hoping it is that kind of clash and not anything sinister.”
On the back of four straight wins though is Tis pleased to have the fixtures coming so thick and fast with the match away at Barnet coming just three days after the trip to Forest Green?
“I’m anodyne to it really,” said Tis. "It is what it is. We know it is on the calendar, we have to play it and it is the same for the opposition. We have got to play 46 games this season and we have to get through the fixture list. We will play it and we will give it our best and stick with it I hope.”
