City defender Jack Sparkes has expressed his delight after he scored a stunning goal in Tuesday's 4-0 win over West Brom under-21s in the Papa John's Trophy.
"It was really nice as I was due a goal. Usually I'm hitting the woodwork, so it felt good," he said after running through several players to slot home City's third of the evening.
"We played really well and we were solid again tonight. It's a clean sheet for us too and we we got the goals so it was a really positive evening."
