Exeter City kick off their EFL Sky Bet League Two season on Saturday as they face Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium.
Ironically, Salford should have been City’s opponents on Saturday 13 March, two days after the EFL announced the postponement of all fixtures due to the pandemic.
The match, which will sadly be played behind closed doors, will be the Grecians first competitive regular league match in 189 days and will be streamed live on iFollow. Match passes cost £10 – remember that buying a pass ensures the club receives vital funds.
Ahead of the match, Manager Matt Taylor has told the press his side are raring to go and ready for the challenge of Salford City on Saturday.
“I’m really pleased with the preparations,” said Taylor. “We learnt a lot from the game at Bristol City and we go there with a squad that is a lot stronger than this time last week.
“There are more players back in contentions and players in better positions than they were.”
