The Exeter City Academy under-16s recent EFL Floodlit Cup victory, and the under-18s FA Youth Cup run have inspired a group of Supporters' Trust Corporate Members to sponsor the Academy under-14s team.
Matt Cousins from Apex Scaffolding and Liz Hodges from Route2Bikes sponsored a post match meal for the under-16s team and staff for both the semi-final and final of the tournament.
Trustee and Club Director, Elaine Davis, watched the final live on the club's YouTube and was impressed by the boys' skill and determination and wondered how to turn members' enthusiasm into practical support.
Taking the '1931' player sponsorship as a model she asked Corporate Trust members if they would come together to sponsor a team and a huge eighteen members agreed and the dream will soon be a reality.
Signs Express have donated a thank you billboard to be displayed at the Cliff Hill, and Scott Palfrey and Matt Kimberly have worked together to design and order a new Corporate Trust logo to be proudly displayed on the front of the team shirts.
Corporate Trust members are proud to be supporting the Academy and look forward to meeting the team when Covid restrictions are lifted.
