💬 Pierce Sweeney: "Bolton are a strong side and it was a good performance."

Pierce Sweeney says he was happy to back on the pitch following a short injury layoff, despite the Grecians being pegged to a 1-1 draw at home to Bolton Wanderers.

Having suffered a hamstring injury against Forest Green Rovers on Boxing Day, the Irishman was expected to be out for up to six weeks but with the injury not as bad as feared, we were delighted to see him back in the startig line up on Tuesday night.

"It was a less than everyone expected, but thankfully it settled down and I am really pleased to be back out there.

"Bolton are a strong team and it was really good performance from us. We know how strong we are at home, and if we want to get to where we want to be we have to winning games like this.

"A point is a point and we didn't lose, but we want three on Saturday."
