Callum Rowe has given his first interview as a Grecian after putting one to paper on Monday.
The 21-year-old joins us after his release from Aston Villa and is Matt Taylor's second summer signing.
"This is a big club and I'm delighted to sign. I knew the club were interested at the back end of last season, and I can't wait to play some games," Callum said.
Rowe was part of the youthful Villa said that faced Liverpool in the FA Cup when the first team were hit by Covid, and the defender says that game helped shape his career.
"The whole build up was so quick and surreal. We only found out the day before there was a chance we'd play. We had no idea of the Liverpool squad or anything. We were all nervous and on edge."
Rowe spoke to former Grecian Ben Chrisene before making the move, whic helped his make the decision to join the club.
"Ben said it was a great club and he knew I'd enjoy it because of the way that they develop the youth."
