Defender George Ray has given his thoughts after he joined Exeter City on Monday.
The 27-year-old put pen to paper at the Cliff Hill Training Ground on Monday after his release from Tranmere Rovers.
"I'm really delighted to get the move over the line after the last two weeks getting it done. It was long drive down yesterday, four hours, but I'm pleased it's all sorted," George said.
"This is the first time I've moved away from home, so it's a big move, but it also means I can focus solely on my football down here. I'm just really excited.
"I know this league really well. Crewe [former club] played a certain style and I always felt Exeter played in a style that suited me, and that was a big part of what attracted me to club.
"I want to get a really good pre-season under my belt, play 40-50 matches, and then hopefully get the club promoted."
