Skipping and promotion winning goalscorer Matt Jay has spoken with pride as Exeter City made the ascension to League One with a 2-1 win over Barrow on a magical night at SJP.
MJ's 79th minute strike secured City safe passage out of the fourth tier after a ten year stay, and our captain could not be happier.
"I'm over the moon and lost for words really. What a moment for the club, the staff, the fans and myself. We were down and out in the first half until Kieran scored, and Barrow made it difficult for us.
"This club means something to me more than other players I suppose having come through. To do this as club captain is special for me.
"There's a couple of games left and the title is there to go for it."
