Captain Matt Jay has given his thoughts ahead of the Grecians' League One home opener against Port Vale on Saturday.
Should he start, MJ will be the first player to lead their side out in a League One home match since 2012, and he says the squad are ready to go.
"We've had a good intense week of training and we are in a great position going into the weekend," said the skipper.
"There's no denying that we would've loved to have gone up as champions, and certainly as players we felt disappointment, but it's not going to be a revenage game for us at all this weekend.
"We will just look to put things right though. It's our first home game, so we want to take three points, and that's all that matters."
