Gary Caldwell gave his thoughts as City came from behind late on to beat Peterborough United in his first home game in charge.
Another classic Jevani Brown finish secured a thrilling three points against the Posh to kick off Gary's SJP bow in style.
"I don't know if my heart can take it!," Gary said after the late drama.
"The character, the desire, the quality they showed, that will take them a long way in football. They were immense late in the game. Against a top team, to come back in the way they did, that was sensational.
"The crowd deserve a special mention. We sucked the ball in and we had to use every ounce of the Big Bank to get us over the line.
"We need to control our own destiny a bit more, and we could have been further in front but conceded a poor goal before half time. We started a bit slow in the second half, and when it went 2-1 it was a big ask.
"I said to Sam when he came on to go and win us the game or to contribute to winning the game and he did that.
"And Jevani, two unbelievable bits of quality for his goal. If you want one man going onto that pass from Stanno, it was going to be him. I didn't think he was ever going to miss."
