Interim boss Kevin Nicholson has given his thoughts as the Grecians recorded a stunning 2-0 win away at Barnsley.
Jay Stansfield scored within a minute of kick off in the first half, before tapping in a second three minutes into the second half, and Nicholson was thrilled with the result.
"We played some very good football at times and we reacted to their pressure. There was passion and desperation. And we can still get better," he said.
"I'm really really pleased for the lads. They're the most well prepared set of players you'll come across. There was lots and lots of good things there.
"In the second half they ramped it up - I loved seeing our players getting stuck in with desperation to keep the ball out of the net.
"I'm really pleased for Stanno, he deserves that. And I'm really pleased for all the fans that travelled to support us today."
