Jay Stansfield has spoken with pride after he scored his first two goals for the club in the 2-0 win at Barnsley.
The 19-year-old netted in both halves, 4,639 days after the Stansfield name was last on the Grecians scoresheet.
"The last week has been tough for everyone, so to come here and get this result, and score my first goals, I'm buzzing," Jay said, referencing the departure of Matt Taylor earlier this week.
"I can't explain the feeling of scoring. I've been working so hard since I've come in from Fulham. I saw the chance and knew I had to have a pop."
