Matt Taylor has given his reaction to City's 1-0 win over MK Dons at St James Park.
Cheick Diabate scored the only goal of the game as the Grecians recorded a third home league win from four matches, on the day that Jay Stansfield made his Exeter City homecoming.
"We were outstanding today and the first half was one of the best games of football this season in terms of the level.
"Cheick Diabate was excellent today. We know how much money we got for Alfie Pond... Cheick must have some serious suitors. He has a physical body that can match opposition players. He keeps on getting better and better.
"Jay coming on means more to certain people than it does to our supporters. It's a moment for him and his family. He coped with it well and he impacted the game. To bring an asset on like Jay just helped with the legs at the top end of the pitch."
