Assistant manager Kevin Nicholson has given his thoughts as City prepare to take on newly crowned Papa Johns Trophy winners Bolton Wanderers at St James Park on Friday.
Wanderers head to Devon after 4-0 Wembley victory over Plymouth on Sunday, but Nicholson expects no Trotters hangover from their celebrations this week.
"They're a really good team with very good players," Nicho said.
"On Sunday, everything that could have gone right for them went right and it was a shock to Plymouth's system. So from our point of view it's very similar to the Barnsley game in terms of we're facing another side who are fighting for promotion.
"They're a big club with a massive fanbase and it'll be an incredible atmosphere, so what we have to do is go about our business as individuals and as units in a team to ensure we are difficult to break down as they play good football."
