Goalscorer Pierce Sweeney has shared his views as City drew 2-2 at Fleetwood.
The Irishman's second goal of the season - in the 91st minute - secured a stoppage time point in a game where the Grecians were not themselves in a sluggish second half.
"It's a good point on the road," he said.
"The way the game went, we were disappointed coming in at half time with how we defended. They are a team that aren't that far off us, it's three games unbeaten and we take the positives from a disappointing performance.
"The manager is breeding confidence and high standards from the group, so you can see how disappointed we all are to play like we did. I'll take a bit of responsibility for their first goal too."
