Gary Caldwell has given his reaction as the Grecians held table topping Portsmouth to a goalless draw at SJP.
City frustrated Pompey, and perhaps felt they could have edged the game in which Ilmari Niskanen hitting the post was the closest either side came.
"It was a real 50/50 game, they hadthe real possession in the first half and had one good opportunity," Gary said.
"Second half we got more on the front foot and create two good chances when Imi hit the post and then Dion couldn't sort his feet out. To get that level of performance and commitment against the league leaders, we'll certainly take it.
"I am delighted but I still want a little more in possession, we can be better. This result and last two performances certainly build belief going into the next two games.
"The crowd were fantastic - filling out the stadium twice over Christmas, and you can feel the positivity coming back."
