💬 Ilmari Niskanen previews Saturday's game with Port Vale

City's flying Finn, Ilmari Niskanen is delighted to be back in the Grecians squad after an injury lay-off, and is looking forward to Saturday's game against Port Vale.

After suffering a shoulder injury on international duty with Finland, Ilmari missed two months of City's season before returning in mid-November.

"The first few days of injury were really hard to cope, I love playing football so much," Imi said.

'It was my first major injury in nine years but the rehab went really well, despite being long and frustrating. Everything is good again and I am so happy to be back."

Imi's eyes are now firmly set on helping to influence things on the pitch, starting against Port Vale this weekend.

"We are really determined and confident. We have had plenty of preparation so it's been a good 11 or 12 days. The performance against Shrewsbury has to be the bare minimum we put in and then we have to be a lot better on the ball and create more chances.

"We are really ready for this big game on Saturday."
