Archie Collins gave his thoughts as his goal, alomgside one from Kevin McDonald, gave city a 2-0 win over Cambridge United on Saturday.
Collins' goal - his first headed goal of his career - put City ahead before McDonald's cool strike doubled the lead, and Archie felt it was a result a few weeks in the making.
"The last few weeks we’ve needed that performance and its come at the right time to try and build on that for the next part of the season," he said.
"We’ve been working on it all week to be honest attacking the box and with Sweens' delivery, I just thought I’ve got to gamble back post and yeah I headed one in the back of the net and took a knock on my head.
"The boys at the back were solid, I think we had not much to deal with really. I thought everybody on the pitch was working their socks off".
