đź“ť Women's Match Preview: Selsey (A)

Exeter City Women are on the road this weekend as they travel to Selsey on Sunday afternoon.

Abbie Britton and Aaron Wakley’s side will be hoping to make it an eighth successive league win and maintain their place at the top of the division.

Selsey have had a steady season to date with victories over Swindon Town, Keynsham Town, St Austell and Larkhall cementing their position in the middle of the division. The Seals have endured a tougher run of results in recent months however following defeats against Southampton Women's, Moneyfields, AFC Bournemouth, Maidenhead United and Cardiff City. That means that Sadie Blakely’s team will be looking for three points on Sunday to reinvigorate their campaign.

Natasha Wild has starred for the Sussex side in front of goal. Her six league strikes have come in only ten games. Skye Bacon has impressed opponents the most and has three player of the match awards - the former Crystal Palace midfielder will no doubt be a threat at the weekend.

The Grecians will be keen to build on their victory over Cardiff City Ladies, a seventh consecutive home win. City now head into a five-game period of fixtures on the road, with a defeat in South Wales and a draw at Moneyfields their only dropped points of a promising season. With home form so strong, an ability to be as dominant on the road over the coming weeks will put Abbie Britton and Aaron Wakley’s team in a strong position for the run in.
