Joe O'Connor spoke after a 3-2 win over Weston-super-Mare which saw the academy graduate score a goal at both ends.
O'Connor scored an unfortunate own goal, but made amends minutes later at the other end, scoring City's second of the night. Reflecting on Tuesday's performance, Joe was pleased with how the evening played out.
"Yeah, good to get back to winning ways, good result here tonight and a good run out. The last few games have been very important to all of us as a squad because obviously we are trying to get minutes into the legs before the season starts and we have come up against really good opposition.
There have been some good physical tests and tonight just happy to get back to winning ways."
After getting himself on the scoresheet after the own goal, "You could see when I scored the pure relief on my face".
