Josh Key reflected on a successful return campaign in League One as Exeter City finished on a high with a 3-2 win against Morecambe at St James Park.
The wing-back assisted Jay Stansfield third goal, as his hat-trick secured the Grecians all three points and a 14th placed finish.
“I'm delighted with the result, we couldn’t go seven games without a win, we had to go right to the end but we can take a lot out of that performance,” Josh said.
“For myself I’m happy, I don’t think that I’ve been at my best this year, I definitely could have scored a few more goals, and I’ve played in a lot of different positions, so it’s been more of a learning year.
"I think Gary’s (Caldwell) has brought in a more fluid style of football, and if we can keep some of our good players and recruit well then, we can be a frightening team next season.
"The supports have been ridiculous, in a good way, when we played against Ipswich we had over 1000, after five defeats in a row, all I can say is thank you, they’ve always been there for us for the ups and downs, they are a big part as to why we stayed up this season.”
