Defender Cheick Diabate is pleased to be playing again after a return from injury, as the Grecians look to pick up a morale-boosting and much needed win against Swindon Town in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy on Tuesday night.
The 22-year-old returned from injury as a second half substitute against Middlesbrough at the end of October and has made a further two appearances since then as he recovered from a foot injury.
With City on a poor run of form, Diabate is looking forward to the game against Swindon and having an impact on future matches.
"It might not be a league game, but it's another opportunity to get a win and get back on track," he said.
"If we do win, we'll have that monentum and I feel like the morale will be better and we'll get that confidence back. It's important we go there tomorrow and treat it as a league game. If we win tomorrow, that could be the catalyst.
"We've got a couple of players coming back from injury, and not playing at the weekend means we can go a little stronger. Everyone needs minutes."
