😊 Matchday Family Fun: Luton Town

You don’t very often get the opportunity to see the Grecians play at home in the EFL Carabao Cup 3rd round!

With home sides sold out you can expect a special atmosphere and under the lights. Although it is a school week many families have decided this is a match not to miss!

We hope you will enjoy the match at SJP!

The Match Night

At a forecast 15c it will still be mild for a September evening.

Getting to SJP

Getting to SJP on match days (EX4 6PX – visiting fans EX4 6PU) can be a little trickier for an evening game.

BUS: Local  buses drop off in York Road, Pennsylvania Road, Prince Charles Road, Union Road, Sidwell Street , Old Tiverton Road and Pinhoe Road. Literally all around the stadium. Maximum fare £2 single journey.

RAIL: You can use normal train services from mainline St David’s to St James Park (Exeter) station.  Picking up passenger onto the services from Paignton, Okehampton and North Devon.

For your maximum of £2.60 (free if booking from further afield) there are services at 17:15; 17:39; 18:18; 18:47 and 19:13. With 5 return services starting from 21:51 you won’t need to rush away either.

DRIVING: Why not use Park & Ride? That said City Centre car parks should be an easier option for you at night but check the boards.  Some are free after 6pm, some charge to 10pm and others charge 24/7. You also need to check the boards for closing times.  For your added convenience some like King William Street extend their closing time to 11pm on Match Nights!

On street parking is possible for considerate parkers. But watch signs for a high number of Resident Only schemes.

CYCLING: racks are available at the stadium and throughout Sidwell Street.

ON FOOT: The most environmentally friendly journey and fittest. The bars will be opening from 5pm to revive you after your exercise.

Fan Zone Activity

5:45pm: Players start to arrive and are happy to sign autographs or pose for selfies with you. Why not tweet your picture #SemperFidelis or on our other social media platforms.

6pm: Hospitality areas are in full flow.

6pm: Junior Grecian Zone available to all families (and everyone at half-time to catch the results or use the kiosk).

From 7pm: Watch out for engagement opportunities with your players in the Shop/Fan Zone!

The first choice for families should be Block E in the Navada Construction stand. This will allow half-time use of the Junior Grecian Zone. We have listened to families who prefer to stand to watch the match. For them an area has been allocated on the Big Bank. It used to be denoted by the provision of white barriers allowing those with older children to move closer to the passion of the City heart. An overspill area has also been allocated in Block A in the Optimising IT Adam Stansfield Stand.
