Manager Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts ahead of City's trip to Northampton Town on Saturday, as the Grecians look to make in nine matches unbeaten in Sky Bet League One.
That feat has not been achieved sincew the 2021/22 promotion winning campiagn and comes after a stuuning 4-2 comeback win away at Port Vale last weekend. City have somewhat of a sketchy record against the Cobblers though, not winning at Sixfields since 2013.
"It's going to be a difficult game" Gary said.
"They are place above us so that has a significance when you can aboe who you're playing, They have had a very good first season back in League One, and they are very good at home so we know what we are facing.
"We want a top half finish and while there is nothing to play for us in terms of promotion or relegations, the motivation has to be different and come from within.
"What we want to be is a team that is repsected in this division. What we are and where we've come from shows the progress we have made this season."
