You may remember that in the previous Fan Zone Canopy article mention was made of a future fund raising campaign.
So far this has been undertaken discreetly while plans and designs for the Canopy were being finalised. The target was £25,000, which was to enable us to enhance the original design.
Thanks to very generous donations from Club organisations, our many supporter groups and some individuals £24,550 has been raised, once again showing the amazing supporters we have at Exeter City FC. They all deserve a mention...
Back in November 2024, the anonymous winner of that month's £1000 Foundation prize, donated it to be used , "for the next fund raising project", so that was the start.
Next came a fantastic boost from the Foundation itself which donated a significant sum, to take us over half way to our target.
We're fortunate in having so many thriving supporter groups and the following have donated or sponsored items, sometimes both - Cans for City, Grecian Goal, Senior Reds, North Devon Grecians, East Devon Grecians and The Supporters' Club.
There were also some individual supporters who learned of the fundraising and our thanks to Richard and Karen Jarvis aka The El Paso Grecians, to Julie Brown and Geoffrey Bowditch.
So if you are a member of any of the groups mentioned above, if you collect cans, or pledge via Grecian Goal, you have already helped our canopy fundraising. Thank you all!

The Exeter City Foundation
The Exeter City Foundation is a not-for-profit lottery scheme, whereby any surplus money is ploughed back into ‘good causes’ at the club.
Anyone can join the foundation. By paying just £10 per month (£120 per year), you become eligible for the monthly £1,000 prize and weekly £100 prizes.
