📝 Open meeting to celebrate Exeter City Women's team achievements

All supporters are welcome to come along to the following open meeting, which has been organised by the Senior Reds to celebrate the recent success of the Exeter City Women.

On the evening of Thursday 13th June, we'll welcome as our guests Abbie Britton and Dave Gribble who be joining us for what has become an annual update on the progress of the Exeter City Women's team. This year will be more than an update - it'll be a celebration!

Abbie and Dave will be looking back over the last 12 months, a time during which the team played 22 league games, won 20, drawing the other 2 against their closest rivals, and thus ending the season with 62 points out of a possible 66 with a goal difference of +100. Now if that's not worth celebrating, then I don't know what is!

They also proved they can potentially hold their own in the higher league by comfortably beating Billericay on their own ground in the National Cup before narrowly losing to a strong Derby County side, and by beating Plymouth Argyle in the final of the local equivalent. All those sides from the higher level.

Abbie will hopefully bring both trophies with her on the evening.

Doors will open at 6pm in the John Lewis Trust Suite for the usual refreshments and social chat, with the bar open downstairs. The meeting itself will start at 7pm.

Please come along and show your appreciation for all the hard work that's gone into making the season so successful. Please spread the word, as the session will be open to all supporters.
