The Grecians pre-season schedule is now confirmed ahead of the 24/25 EFL Sky Bet League One season.
Over four weeks, City will play nine matches against teams from varying levels, as Gary Caldwell prepares his side for our third season in League One.
Proceedings kick-off at Tiverton Town on Friday 9 July, 7:30pm kick off, for our annual fixture, before heading to Weston-super-Mare on Friday, July 12, 7pm.
After the success of last summer's pre-season training camp in Cornwall, City are once again be heading to Mousehole in July.
City will face the Seagulls at Trungle Parc on Monday, 15th July, 7pm to kick off a three day trip to the far west coast, which will also include training and team building activities.
The Grecians have formed a good relationship with Mousehole, thanks in part to current City assistant and former manager of Mousehole, Kevin Nicholson, and have been impressed with the loan spells of Charlie Cummins and Mitch Beardmore - the duo featuring in the final months of the season for the club.
City then travel to face Yeovil Town on Friday, July 19 in a 7:30pm kick-off. Yeovil were promoted back to the National League last season, with Sonny Cox experiencing a valuable loan spell with the Glovers.
This is followed by a trio of behind-closed-doors friendlies, mainly due to pitch renovations. City travel to face newly promoted to the Championship side Oxford United on Wednesday 24 July, 3pm at the Oxford Sports Park, followed by Championship side Bristol City on Saturday 27 July, 1pm at the Robins High Performance Centre. The last of the trio sees City host Brentford B at the Cliff Hill Training Ground on Tuesday 30 July, 1pm.
City then make the short trip to face Torquay United for the third year in a row. The match is on Tuesday 30 July at 7:30pm at Plainmoor. With the Gulls under new ownership there is a feel good factor back in the Riviera!
Pre-season concludes with a home friendly against National League side Eastleigh on Saturday, August 3, 3pm. The match will see a return for former captain Jake Taylor, and a chance for former Spitfire Vincent Harper to face his old side.
Speaking about the schedule, manager Gary Caldwell said: "Pre-season will be pretty similar to last season, we are coming back on June 20 and the players are actually back before that working with the coaching team three days a week so they are ready to go again.
"We will be fairly local in terms of our early games and plan to trip away again in Cornwall, then the games will broaden out a bit further afield and the quality improves as we get closer to the season.
"Itβs important for us to support our local teams that take our young players on loan. The crowds we got at Tiverton and Taunton were great to see. We will get to local clubs again and give them that support they need in terms of finances and thank them for everything they do for us."
