Ahead of City's return to trophy action with the visit of Spurs under-21 tomorrow, coach Dan Green has shared his thoughts.
The Grecians began this season's competition with a victory against League Two Swindon Town, and will be hoping to follow it up with another win against a Premier League's youth side
"Spurs have an incredibly successful academy, their under-21 group is on the back of winning the Premier League 2 last season," Dan said.
"You're going to see a group of players who will try and play in a certain way, you're going to see players who will have full belief in the way that they play, and we're very much looking forward to the game and the test that they'll bring."
The match also gives an opportunity for City to continue the momentum started by Saturday's 2-0 win against Stevenage.
"I would reiterate what the manager said after the game, it's great that you can get those three points (against Stevenage) whilst still feeling like there were a lot of areas individually and collectively we can improve."
"That is a consistency in our performance levels, a consistency in the behaviours that we see from the group, because ultimately the most successful teams are the most consistent performing teams."
