Exeter City FC has been shortlisted for the Best Football Club - Football League award at the upcoming Football Content Awards 2024!

This is the second year in a row City have been nominated for the award.

The Football Content Awards celebrate the best in online football media. They recognise and reward all content creators and online media companies in football.

The Grecians are up against the following football clubs: Bristol City, Burnley, Derby County, Hull City, Luton Town, Norwich City Shrewsbury Town, Stockport County, Watford and Wrexham.

The Football Content Awards had the following to say about Exeter City:

"Exeter City FC has excelled in content creation, offering a blend of engaging matchday footage and personal stories like the Global Grecians series.

Despite their smaller size, Exeter consistently produces content that rivals higher-tier clubs. Their commitment to community engagement, alongside their distinctive brand style across men’s, women’s, and academy teams, makes them a standout nominee."

At Exeter City we’ve now been Fan Owned for over 20 years. We have a duty to keep our fans informed, engaged, and entertained about everything at the club they own.

What we do is more than just about the first team players, we make sure everyone is involved including staff, supporters, women’s team, and the academy.

Some of our small media team’s well received content includes our SJP 360 match recaps, City Strolls with first team players looking at their careers so far, our entertaining ‘Life’s a Pitch’ series with groundsman Chaz, features with backroom staff at the club, Global Grecians, Cooking with our Chef video series and get to know player videos.

Speaking about being nominated for the award, City’s Head of Media and Marketing, Michael Heath said: "The club is delighted to be nominated for this award for the second year running.

"This is testament to the hard work of our media team and matchday volunteers that help us to produce our wide range of content that covers all areas of our unique club.

"The club has such a unique story to tell being fan owned, and there are so many incredible people behind the scenes that deserve to have their story told and we aim to bring supporters closer to the action both on and off the field."
