Dan Green reflects on Premier League Cup win over Norwich

Dan Green have his thoughts as Exeter City U21s made it six points from two matches in the Premier League cup group stages with a 2-1 win over their Norwich City counterparts at St James.

A Theo Cutler 90th minute winner, just moments after the Canaries equalised, secured victory for the Grecians in a game that saw the deadlock broken by a second half own goal, and Green was pleased with the performance.

"For 60 minutes or so that was a really strong performance," Dan said.

"But like I said after Bromley, I am really pleased with the result but I still feel there are a lot of areas I think we can improve on for the next game."

"I think tonight is a lesson that you need to kill the game off."

"At half-time we really focused on what we can improve, especially out of possession, and then it was all about speeding the play up and gettuing bodies in the box.

"I thought Amani was outstanding in the final third - and Caleb when he came on too. There are more ways to win tonight than just the result and we benefitted as a club in so many ways tonight.

"I wasn't sure we had it in our legs tonight to get the winner, but we showed a real personality and got the job done. The thing with this football club is if the fans will absolutely love you if you work hard for them."
