Midfielder Ed Francis has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to face Barnsley on Saturday at St James Park.
Francis has also recently been deployed on the left of a back three in what has been a tough run of fixtures, but he believes confidence is still sky high as the squad enter a busy festive period.
"We know it's a results business but ultimately we have to look at our performances, and if we can perform well consistently then the results should come with that."
"If we look at the first half against Stockport, again that's a good example of the performance we can put in. We look at Saturday and we see that as a game we can win, and that has to be the mindset for every game.
"We have to go in Saturday expecting to win. And being at home again really helps."
