As a supporter owned club, at Exeter City we are committed to ensuring that our supporters have a voice and feel truly connected to their club.
Fan engagement runs through the DNA of our club and is at the centre of our decision-making processes. Our supporters’ views matter at every level of what we do - from our ethics and our governance, and to how we present a match day experience.
We truly believe that fan engagement is crucial to maintaining a strong relationship between the club and its community. It allows us to gather feedback, involve supporters in key decisions, and enhance the overall matchday experience.
Clubs, including ours, are required by the English Football League (EFL) and other governing bodies to have clear strategies for engaging with fans. These guidelines ensure clubs are accountable to their supporters and maintain open communication on matters such as ticketing, safety, and community outreach. Through our fan engagement plan, we aim to foster a transparent and collaborative environment, where the passion of our fans is reflected in the club’s operations and growth and our supporters are properly informed in order that they may influence our progress.
We have measurable goals for fan engagement, including regular fan forums, Grecian Group activity, round-table events and, where appropriate, executive 1:1 meetings with supporters and members of our community. We regularly evaluate our progress and report back to the League and our supporters, our owners, on our activities and achievements at the end of the season. We will also be implementing fan feedback mechanisms to improve these processes.
