Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to take on Wigan Athletic at the Brick Community Stadium on Saturday.
With two wins already this week in the league and EFL Trophy, City are brimming with confidence ahead of Caldwell’s return to his former club.
“We have had a chance to watch back Wigan’s game on Tuesday and myself, the analysts and coaches have done our preparation, and we are clear on what we need to do to go and win the game.
“They have changed from last season. They were very possession based last season but not so much now, they have made a few changes and are a flexible team tactically. I know the manager very well obviously and he is very smart – he will analyse us the same way we analyse them, and he will set up his team accordingly.
“We have to adapt to the opponent but also be clear what our strengths are and use them on the day, and impose ourselves on the game.”
