Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell has given an honest assessment after the Grecians fell to a 3-1 defeat to Blackpool at St James Park.
A fifteen minute spell in the first half saw City fall three behind which gave them a mountain to climb in the second-half. Millenic Alli scored to reduce the deficit but City couldn't find the comeback.
"It was a crazy fifteen minutes at the end of the first half where we gifted three goals. I thought up to that point it was a 50/50 game and we created some good moments. They created some chances off long balls and then we gifted three really bad goals at bad times.
"I said to the players I'll take what they did the second half every day of the week. The drive to try and get back into the game was there but the lesson is we can't give away the goals we did in the first-half.
