City boss Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts ahead of the Grecians' Emirates FA Cup first round tie with National League side Barnet.
The Bees travel to St James Park looking to cause an upset, but the Grecians are buoyed by a midweek win at Bristol Rovers in the Bristol Street Motors that saw them top the group. Caldwell has fond memories of the 'world's greatest cup competition' having lifted it with Wigan in 2013, and hopes to create more with City.
"Hopefully this year we can do something special and people can talk about this team for years to come. But it's a really tough draw for us.
"When the draw comes up you want a home draw and probably against a struggling side, but we are coming up against that a doing really well.
"The league they are in is irrelevant. They are confident, will have belief, and know how to win football matches."
