Gary Caldwell pre Orient H

Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts ahead of Tuesday night's clash with Leyton Orient at St James Park.

City are looking to get back to winning ways as they host an Orient side in strong form, unbeaten in their last eleven and having beaten Reading 2-0 on Saturday.

"Every League One game is difficult and you have to be 100% prepared, focused and ready for that challenge," said Gary. "We will be come 7:45pm tomorrow night.

"We will do the best we can to get the best preparation to win tomorrow night.

"They are a similar side in how they play. They played well that night and would probably feel they should have got something from the game, but we were in a good moment defensively and the clean sheet got us the win that night.

"The key is to be more resilient, have a better foundation defensively to give us a chance to win. We have been scoring goals and when we score goals the possession game needs to be better to control the game."

Speaking about what we can take from Saturday's defeat into Tuesday night's game, Gary added:

"We can learn about how we win the ball back when we lose it and to be much quicker around the ball. Too many times on Saturday we lost the ball and we were far too open. When we play well we are a compact team in and out of possession so we have to get back to that and keeping clean sheets."
